· Enjoy the ferry ride across Pittwater viewing Commodore Heights, Barrenjoey Headland, Lion Island close by and then crossing the Hawkesbury River near the ocean entry and arriving at Patonga by 11.05am.

· Patonga Beach is located at the junction of a tidal lagoon and the Hawkesbury River. It is a sleepy beach town with a large council camping area

· Photographs There are many opportunities for photographs.

· Parking. Being a Wednesday there is adequate street parking at Palm Beach. For convenience choose the northern end of Iluka Road as close as possible to Barrenjoey Road.

· Weather requirements: If it is hot, please wear a hat, sunscreen and bring water. If it is predicted to rain, please bring an umbrella. Check the weather for Palm Beach for the day and wear the appropriate clothing.

· Lunch will be at the Boat House Patonga This is a very pleasant place to eat. It specialises sea food and is run by the same management as the up market Boat House at Palm Beach.

· Costs. Parking is nil as adequate free parking is available in Iluka Road Palm Beach. Ferry cost is a total of $25 to Patonga and the return to Palm Beach. The concession price is $20. Pay with cash or card on board. For lunch there is no need to spend any more than $30.

·.Travel Time on the ferry is 35 minutes each way.

·.Options for the Way Home There are two ferry times back to Palm Beach after lunch.

Option 1. This ferry leaves Patonga at 1.30pm for Palm Beach and would be best for those living south of Sydney and wishing to avoid the Wednesday afternoon city traffic.

Option 2.The 3.30pm ferry would be for those who do not have a traffic problem and would like to enjoy more time at Patonga.

·.Please note This is a Wednesday activity.
