Start at Tewantin 0900 Monday heading to Rainbow beach via Double Island Point . Tuesday morning off to Fraser via Inskip Point Ferry to campsite at "Cathedrals on Fraser" for the next 6 nights . Day drives (4) to Sandy Cape Lighthouse , Wathumba , Kingfisher Bay , the Lakes , Eli Creek etc with a free last day before departing Monday . A group booking has been made for Cathedrals but book your own for Rainbow Beach 12/5 . Driving permits are required for Cooloola and K'Gari . The Big4 Park at Rainbow seems to have the most choice for either an unpowered site through to cabins .
I have stayed at Cathedrals before , and after camping at Central Station it was like heaven , it is a fully fenced secure campground with good bathroom amenities like any caravan park . It also has Fuel , shop , basic cafe , wi-fi , bottle shop . Campsites are nice and shady . The group booking is valid till 12/3 .
